Lecture by Chris Glaisek

The 2026-27 Laurentian Architecture Lecture Series will kick off this upcoming Monday (Sep.21) evening (5:45 pm, Lecture Hall) with a lecture from Chief Planning and Design Officer at Waterfront Toronto, Chris Glaisek.
Chris Glaisek is responsible for master planning and design of the downtown Toronto waterfront regeneration areas. He directs the design of all new parks, streets, and infrastructure, and advises on the design of private developments. Under Chris’s stewardship, Waterfront Toronto has received more than 80 national and international design awards and nominations for its innovative master plans, parks, and streetscape designs. Chris received a BA from Brown University and a master’s from Yale, where he studied architecture and planning.
This lecture qualifies for two (2) OAA Continuing Education Structured Learning Hours.
The Laurentian Architecture Lecture Series is presented by Garland Canada and this Sep.21 lecture is supported by the Ontario Association of Architects.
This year, the Laurentian Architecture Lecture Series will broaden its scope as it will feature two other EVENING TALKS this Fall semester (after the Sep.21 one), and three more this Winter, (details to be announced soon – stay tuned), featuring local, national or international architects. It will also, for the first time ever, include a number of LUNCHTIME INSPO lectures, featuring MSoA sessionals and/or alumni who will talk about their professional work outside of the MSoA (stay tuned as well for more information on the new things the lecture series will offer this year)!
Be sure to join us on Monday!
